“Soul Simple” is the first album that I released with DJ Concept (formerly Ice Ben) under the group name The Metaphorics. That’s a bit of technicality though, as “Rap Star” is really the first The Metaphorics album, we just didn’t call ourselves that yet. The production on this album is excellent, and is done mostly by Concept, and he definitely drops a few wickedly sick rhymes. This album was recorded in Seattle, Washington and Chicago, Illinois. My favorite tracks are “Rollin' These Rhymes,” “Spinnin' the Tracks” and “Top of a Mountain.”
